
Biography
Dr. Mistry is an orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Ottawa Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. Her clinical practice encompasses elective hand and wrist surgery. Additionally, she provides orthopaedic trauma care and specializes in complex upper extremity reconstruction.
She completed her undergraduate degree and medical school at the University of Western Ontario. This was followed this with a move to our Nation’s Capital, undertaking her orthopaedic residency at the University of Ottawa. She further completed subspecialty training with fellowships in Upper Extremity Reconstruction and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital at the University of Toronto and Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre at the University of Western Ontario. Concurrently during fellowship, she completed her Masters of Science in Surgery, with her work focusing on the use of 4-dimensional CT Scan Technology to quantify normal in-vivo carpal kinematics.
Dr. Mistry is a member of the Ottawa Hand and Wrist Collaboration (OHAWC); a joint initiative between the divisions of Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery at the Ottawa Hospital, focused on combining expertise, providing accessibility and offering the most comprehensive subspecialty hand and wrist care in the region.

Elective Referrals: Please complete and fax Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Group Referral Form (in attachments), to the office at 613-761-4661.
Acute Hand Injuries:
Outside referrals should be discussed directly with the TOH Hand surgeon on call to arrange timely access to care.
Via Epic: Referrals can be sent to “AMBULATORY REFERRALS TO HAND & WRIST SURGERY”
Acute Carpal/Wrist or Other Orthopaedic Injuries:
