Biography

Dr. Pollock is an orthopaedic surgeon and associate professor at the University of Ottawa specializing in complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction.  He completed a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) and a Master’s Degree in Medical Biophysics at Western University. He is the Director of Education and Director of Fellowships for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Treasurer and President Elect for the Canadian Shoulder and Elbow Society.  Dr. Pollock’s clinical practice involves all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including reconstruction, arthroscopy, sport medicine and trauma. Dr. Pollock specializes in shoulder and elbow sports medicine injuries and minimally invasive  arthroscopic surgery.  He is the head team physician for the Ottawa RedBlacks Professional Football Team (CFL) and a member of Carlton Univ. Sports Med Clinic and the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG).    Dr. Pollock’s academic research focuses on biomechanic and clinical outcome trials in the shoulder and elbow.   He has extensive experience in surgical skills education and training.  He is an active member of CSES, CAA and ASES societies and has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally.
