Biography
Maryam Leclerc is a part-time Clinical Research Assistant with the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. She supports sports medicine research focused on knee and hip preservation, return-to-sport outcomes, and patient recovery, contributing to study coordination, patient follow-up, and clinical trial operations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from Concordia University and is currently pursuing Biomedical Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Previously, she worked at the Montreal Neurological Institute coordinating Phase I–III clinical trials in ALS and neuromuscular disorders. Maryam has also contributed to national research organizations and community initiatives, including fundraising efforts supporting neurological disease research.
