Biography
Cdr. Christopher Kennedy is a regular force member with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). He was raised on the North Shore of New Brunswick and attended the University of New Brunswick where he did bachelor and master’s degrees in the sciences. He attended medical school at Dalhousie University where he joined the CAF through the Medical Officer Training Program (MOTP). He did his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa and then spent four years as a Medical Officer practicing at CFB Gagetown in Oromocto, NB. After his four years as a GDMO, he was accepted into the CAF Postgraduate Training Program (PGT) and started his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Dalhousie University where he trained for 5 years. He then did fellowships at the University of Ottawa in Orthopaedic Trauma, Sports Medicine and Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has deployed to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa.
